Footloose Guides, By Area
The table, below, covers the availability of Footloose Guides by area of interest, but we need to answer the question, "What is a Footloose Pocket Guide?"
- Footloose Pocket Guides are more than simple walking guides. These unique, all-in-one map-guides are packed with information on the region's History, Archaeology, Architecture and Landscape.
- Each Footloose Guide details two walks of between 3 and 11 miles, and is packed with interpretive information, photographs and diagrams. Their degree of difficulty is rated "Easy," "Moderate," or "Strenuous." There are some cases, as noted, where the Guide contains an additional third walk.
- Each Guide provides comprehensive directions and is supported by Ordnance Survey mapping. All Guides are constructed of water-resistant material folded to fit in your pocket.
- Guides are available in boxed sets of 12 Guides for the area described; in pacs of 20 identical Guides in bulk; or as individual walking Pocket Guides. Prices, in Pounds Sterling, are shown in the table. Counter-top display stands are also available. The Pocket Guide to Bath, available in December 2005, is 1.95, plus shipping 1.75 airmail.
